Crisis Consulting International Seminars - Crisis Management Seminar and Field Security Seminar
The Crisis Management Seminar is a three-day management-oriented course providing participants with the fundamental knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide a competent security and crisis management program for teams, leadership groups, and executives who have responsibility for security of personnel, assets, and programs on the field. It is being held at the JAARS Center in Waxhaw, North Carolina, USA. The training consists of a combination of classroom presentations, case studies, and practical exercises. Training will be provided in the following core areas: Evacuation Management, The Terrorism Threat, Contingency Planning, Policies, Leadership in Emergencies, Strategic Risk Forecasting(SRF), Tactical Risk Assessment (TRA), and Crisis Management Teams. The Field Security Seminar provides training in advanced security principles and tactics for individuals working in increasingly dangerous venues. The training in this seminar consists mainly of "real-life" exercises supplemented with classroom presentations and case studies. During this course, training will be provided in the following core areas: Hostage Survival; High-Risk Conflict Management; Surveillance Management; Operations in Conflict/War Zones; and Landmines, UXO and IEDS. Care Connexion NW - Partnering for Effective Missionary Care
Seeking to help churches, agencies, and others working closely with missionaries, a local group of leaders will host Care Connexion 2010 on 16-17 April 2010 at Cedar Mill Bible Church in Portland, Oregon, USA. Care Connexion will focus on equipping and networking leaders to provide relevant and effective care for missionaries. Those attending will meet partners in the ministry of missionary care from churches, missions organizations, schools, and Christian counseling centers. Speakers from around the country will share strategies, resources, and encouragement in efforts to meet the needs of overseas workers. Some of the topics include: building member care networks, parenting children on the mission field, healing moral failure, and crisis counseling. Internet Evangelism Day
Internet Evangelism Day (IE Day) is scheduled for Sunday, 25 April 2010, and is an opportunity for churches to explore exciting opportunities for sharing the good news online. Ready-made free downloads (PowerPoint, video clips, handouts, drama scripts, and music) can be built into a five to 50-minute presentation. IE Day's website is a one-stop resource covering many subjects, including how to build a church website that is "outsider friendly," using Twitter in evangelism, and ideas for effective blogging. IE Day is an initiative of the Internet Evangelism Network, based at the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College. Tokyo 2010
Tokyo 2010 Global Mission Consultation and Celebration: A Gathering of Global Mission Leaders will be held 11-14 May 2010 in Tokyo. The theme, "Making Disciples of Every People in Our Generation," will include assessing the progress made over the last one hundred years in global missions, examining what remains to be done, making joint plans toward finishing the task, and facilitatinh the structures needed to ensure the global implementation of these plans. The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization
The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization (Lausanne III) will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, 16-25 October 2010. The Congress, held in collaboration with the World Evangelical Alliance, will bring together four thousand leaders from more than two hundred countries to confront the critical issues of our time—other world faiths, poverty, HIV/AIDS, and persecution, among others—as they relate to the future of the Church and world evangelization. Cape Town 2010 (CT2010) is not just a one-time meeting, but God willing, will be a catalytic event in the life of the Church—drawing leaders together in purposeful prayer, humble repentance, strategic dialogue, and decisive action.
