Hurricane Charley struck a blow to the 40-acre campus of Pioneers (www.pioneers.org), an Orlando, Fla.-based missions agency. Damage is estimated to approach $1 million. A 120-site recreational campground was especially hit hard. Several recreational vehicles and modulars were destroyed, including the mission’s guest units on its lakefront. An emergency fund has been established to help offset costs.

The Bible League offers the “Passion of the Persecuted” program this fall. The free program can be used as part of the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church on November 14.
